UNIT # 1030 - WELCOME TO OUR BEACH HOME/RENTAL! Please read entire Please read the whole description carefully before booking. #1. BEWARE of SCAMMERS emailing rental contracts claiming there are weeks available for Vacation Rental By Owner properties - I won't contact you until after you book. #2. Note the strict security rules associated with Ocean Lakes that as a guest you must abide by. If you are asked to leave the park for any reason you will not be refunded for the unused portion of your stay. #3. We are Saturday to Saturday units only from Memorial Weekend through Labor Day weekend UNLESS the calendar shows a different day. We offer a discount for multi week units during the summer - please send an e-mail through Vacation Rental By Owner portal for a quote. #4. This rental does not include a golf cart you'll need to book one with Ocean Lakes when you arrive. #5. This is a NO smoking/NO vaping/NO tolerance property - this includes our porch. If you or someone in your event smokes or vapes and can't/won't abide by this rule you should book another property.
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: Located in the Holiday Inn Section. We are the 8th home from the beach and 100 steps till your feet hit sand. Freshly remodeled in 2022 with new furnishings, beds & linens, kitchen and baths! We are ground level so if you have modest kids or have older guests you will not have a lot of steps to navigate. Master bedroom KING size bed & adjoining bathroom with shower and washer/dryer stack. Smaller 2nd and third bedrooms - one full/double bed and one queen bed. The living room has a queen sleeper couch. There are 2 full baths. Totally outfitted kitchen with all Frigidaire appliances including enormous Side by Side Fridge with ice maker, smooth top stove, dishwasher, microwave and Keurig. Paper towels, TP, some condiments are in refrigerator and pantry, cleaning products, dishwasher detergent are normally available (we can't guarantee what quantities will be there but there is a Walmart across the street). Outdoor Charcoal Grille - please dispose of your ashes - after they cool - before you leave and rinse out grille. New 43" 4K LED flat screen TV in Living Room. 40" HD TV in master bedroom HD TV's in 2nd and third bedrooms. New ROKU TV on front porch.
THE COMMUNITY: Ocean lakes is THE most trendy resort campground and beach rental community on the East Coast for a reason - the amenities include a giant amusement park style water park, indoor and outdoor pools, huge tube slides, lazy river, 18 hole mini golf course, lakes for rec fishing, wildlife/bird watching and nature center, playgrounds for all levels of abilities, basketball, volleyball, corn hole and horse shoe areas, food court, grocery store with gift shop, a mile of clean private beachfront, effortlessly accessible , to savor and an active security team whose goal is to keep you safe. The location couldn't be better - 15 mins. south is the Murrell's Inlet Marsh District with some of the best water front Dining on the SC coast. 15 mins. north and you are in Myrtle Beach for dining, shopping and attractions that draw people to this area. You're also 10 mins. to the Myrtle Beach international airport.
There is a grocery store, snack stand, 18 hole miniature golf, basketball courts, shuffle board, corn hole boards, horseshoes, and playgrounds for the kids, plus the BEACH!. Download the Ocean Lakes App for food orders and save yourself the line.
The primary renter must be TWENTY FIVE and stay onsite entire visit to supervise anyone under 25. Please be advised that if our property manager or we find out renters are under age without supervision you will have to vacate the property immediately without refund.
We do allow modest/medium dogs with a $100 fee per pet and a limit of two - you need to pay for your family family pets when you book. When you make your rental request please select pets to get an accurate quote. If your dog sheds excessively you are responsible for cleaning up after them OR we will bill you for any additional costs charged by our cleaning service (there is a vacuum on site). We don't allow cats, snakes, birds or any other exotic type of pets. Per Ocean Lakes Rules no Rottweiler, Pit Bulls or aggressive dogs. Dogs must be leashed at all times unless visiting the dog park and you must clean up their waste. Bringing your pets on vacation is a privilege, not a right. Please respect the rules so we can continue to share our vacation home with all dog lovers. IF your dog causes any damage please let us know up front so we can arrange repairs.
Departure cleaning is included in the price of your stay. Please empty your trash, strip linens from beds, remove everything from refrigerator/freezer and wash all dishes or load and unload the dishwasher before you leave.
Please bring your own bed linens (King Sheet set, Queen sheet set, Double bed sheet set) shampoo, soap, washing detergent, dishwasher soap and paper products.
This ad is for the purpose of renting our vacation home only. We do not rent GOLF CARTS but Ocean Lakes will rent you a golf cart if you would like one or you may bring your own. You must register your personal cart with Ocean Lakes ($38) and provide proof of $50,000 insurance. Please refer to Ocean Lakes Family Campground website for instructions on how to register your personal cart.
Ocean Lakes charges $12 PER DAY PER VEHICLE FEE FOR PARKING THAT RENTERS pay directly TO OCEAN LAKES. Once you have made final payment I will mail you an Express Check Inn form. You will then send form with payment to Ocean Lakes. If you use Express Check In Ocean Lakes will only charge $10 per day for the Parking Pass. Ocean Lakes must receive payment at least week prior to arrival and either have the pass mailed or pick it up at the gate.

About the Area
Located in Surfside Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. The Market Common and Broadway at the Beach are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's popular attractions can visit Family Kingdom Amusement Park and SkyWheel Myrtle Beach. Ripley's Aquarium and Old Time Pottery are also worth visiting. With windsurfing, fishing, and swimming nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Finding the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
