Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best rental home:
- First, have your group decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Welcome to Magnolia Pointe 4887-103- located at Myrtlewood Golf Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
