Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 14th floor Studio @ Myrtle Beach Resort! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
