Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by having your family decide on vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Well Kept Family Owned Myrtle Beach Vacation Condo steps from the Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
