Strategies for getting the perfect rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Amazing views from 23rd floor of Royale Palms 2305 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
