Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. WOW Awesome Corner Wrap Around Balcony Condo Fireplace has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
