Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the perfect rental:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Your Palace on the Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
