Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to choose and book yourvacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Your Palace on the Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
