Tips and Tricks to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your group choose date ranges and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. ---- JeffsCondos ---- Breakers Resort - Ocean Front Vacation Rental 3Bed\/2Bath has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
