How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose the bestvacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. ---- JeffsCondos ---- Breakers Resort - Ocean Front Vacation Rental 3Bed\/2Bath has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
