Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Beachside Delight Suite with Views 15th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
