Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. ~Gorgeous~ Ocean View King Suite in Cabana Row~ has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
