Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Hidden Gem View - Oceanview Mini Suite 3rd Flr has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
