Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Views at Camelot Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
