Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. ?? Myrtle Beach Serenity - Minutes to Beach & Golf! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
