Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. New Penthouse! Oceanfront, Heated Pools, TOP Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
