Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Peaceful Oceanfront 15th Floor 3 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is best for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
