Tips to get the perfect rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the bestrental home:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Pelicans Watch 110, Oceanview 3 Bedroom has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
During your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
