Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your family select vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beach Bash Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo 7th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
