Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking the bestrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beach Bash Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Condo 7th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
