Strategies to get the best vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront,Heated Pools,Views New, Penthouse Level has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is best for your family.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
