How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by having your family commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront,Heated Pools,Views New, Penthouse Level has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
