Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Southern Comfort Oceanfront Jr Suite 2nd Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
