Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First, have your family select a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Tidal Ecstasy Suite Oceanfront Views 14th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
