Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Reserve your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 1 Bedroom Lodge Villa at Oceanfront Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If not, email the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
