Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Paradise Found. Oceanfront. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More considerations:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
