Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Paradise Found. Oceanfront. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
