How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Winter Rates! Perfect Oceanfront Studio Escape has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
