Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 10th-floor oceanfront studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
