Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Birdie's Beachfront II - The Only Oceanfront Condo To Be At Myrtle Beach Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
