Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Soothing Queen Efficiency 11th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
