Our top Vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 10th Floor Partial Coast View Studio w\/ AC, WiFi, Pool\/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
