Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Start by having your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanview Paradise at the Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
