Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 9th-floor ocean-view studio with WiFi, pool, hot tub & AC - dog-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
