Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental home:
- Begin by choosing trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. COUPLES GETAWAY??OCEANFRONT, HIGH-END DECOR, ADJUSTABLE KING, 65”TV, FREE PARKING has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
