Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by having your family select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 15th-floor ocean-view studio with WiFi, pool, hot tub & AC - dog-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips for your stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
