Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 17th-floor oceanfront condo with pool, hot tub, central AC, WiFi & beach access has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
