How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 1980 Lark 2 bedroom 2 bath pier home - Catch The Breeze has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
