Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.

- Property managers often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean Forest Villas Unit C108 - Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
