How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking yourrental:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Forest Villas Unit C108 - Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
