This modernized two bedroom two bath home inside award-winning ocean lakes family campground is conveniently located just steps away from the ocean and The water park inside the community. Extremely close to all the best amenities Ocean Lakes can provide. 2022 marks the first year this property is to be rented by us as it was freshly purchased and refreshed. NEW FLOORING IN 2023! Even after the updates in 2022 the floor was very dated and worn, and was usually where we got our negative feedback. If you have family staying in the RV section or you prefer to be close to the activities then this is a great location. Like most ground level homes in Ocean Lakes this is a camper with an addition. There is a bigger bathroom in the addition as well as a master bedroom. The Bunk room and bathroom in the camper section are sized as expected in a camper trailer. The living and dining room areas are fairly open for the size of the home.
This home is not as modern as many in Ocean Lakes, but we it is well kept and clean. This home is where my friends and family stay during their trips to Ocean Lakes. We personally adore the convenience and of being so close to Sandy Harbor Water Park and being near the campsites. During special events and Holiday times it is close to all the action.

How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Finding the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 2br 2ba beach cottage just steps away from the ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
