This refreshed two bedroom two bath home inside award-winning ocean lakes family campground is conveniently located just steps away from the ocean and The water park inside the community. Extremely close to all the best amenities Ocean Lakes can provide. 2022 marks the first year this property is to be rented by us as it was freshly purchased and refreshed. NEW FLOORING IN 2023! Even after the updates in 2022 the floor was very dated and worn, and was usually where we got our negative feedback. If you have family staying in the RV section or you prefer to be close to the activities then this is a great location. Like most ground level homes in Ocean Lakes this is a camper with an addition. There is a bigger bathroom in the addition as well as a master bedroom. The Bunk room and bathroom in the camper section are sized as expected in a camper trailer. The living and dining room areas are fairly open for the size of the home.

This home is not as modern as many in Ocean Lakes, but we it is well kept and clean. This home is where my friends and family stay during their trips to Ocean Lakes. We personally adore the convenience and of being so close to Sandy Harbor Water Park and being near the campsites. During special events and Holiday times it is close to all the action.

Our top Vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 2br 2ba beach cottage just steps away from the ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
