The Grandiose Strand is known for its 60 miles of beaches. In August 2018, a new project will begin and place roughly 1.4 million cubic yards of material on Myrtle, North Myrtle, Garden City and Surfside Beaches.
The 2018 beach renourishment project will begin in August. The nourishment will include roughly eight miles on Myrtle Beach, four miles on Surfside and Garden City Beaches and two miles on North Myrtle Beach. Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. ??2024 Newly Renovated : Luxury 5beds\/2 Direct Oceanfront BRs\/Wifi\/Pools has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
