How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and choose the bestrental home:
- Start by having your family select a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Top Floor, Just Steps to Ocean 2B,2B with Great Views at the Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
