Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 2br Deluxe Condo Fun in the sun on Myrtle Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Know before you go:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
