Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and picking yourrental home:
- Start by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. World Tour Golf Resort Unit 203 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
