Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. World Tour Golf Resort Unit 203 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
