How to get the best vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Cumberland Terrace 2B Kingston resort, Pools,Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
