Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Rudy's Reel 'Em Inn of Surfside has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
