Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best rental home:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Paradise @ Oceanfront Suite\/Dogs OK! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
