Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Seductive Oceanfront Three Bedroom Condo 9th Flr has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
