Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and pick your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. 3BR\/2BA South Tower 6th Floor-Oceanfront-Gorgeous View! Beach Locker! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
