How to find the best rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your family select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. 3rd Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w\/ Shared Pool\/Hot Tub, WiFi, AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
