How to find the best rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the best rental home:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. ~Ocean View King Suite with Gorgeous Sunrises~ has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
