Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 4br Presidential Condo Luxury Family Fun on Beach! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
