Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting your trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 4br Presidential Condo Luxury Family Fun on Beach! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
