Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 4th-floor ocean-view studio with AC, WiFi, pool, hot tub - dogs OK has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
