Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Finding the best rental home value:
- To get the best rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 4th of July at Luxurious Sheraton Broadway Resort Villas has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
